A Style Guide communicates the vision that goes into making a cohesive, polished product. I developed this Style Guide in collaboration with the client, using their brand logos and colors to provide a sample of what an eLearning module will look like. The guide communicates the overall look and feel of the training session.

Purpose
Colors, fonts, and images evoke specific feelings from learners about the content of a learning experience. Intentional design decisions help motivate learners and limit extraneous cognitive processing. This style guide predominantly uses blues to create a comforting, peaceful learning environment, with on-brand yellow to signal and highlight important information. Icons maintain a consistent style, and images are pulled from company event photographs.

Process and Tools
The client wanted to integrate the company’s branding into the style guide for this project. Each color was taken directly from the brand kit, and clean, bold sans-serif fonts were chosen for their legibility and to maintain a clean aesthetic. Every element of an eLearning course, including the style of images, buttons, and signaling cues, is detailed in the style guide. I created this guide using Google Slides and Storyline 360, allowing flexible formatting and collaboration with stakeholders.
